Today will be my final post on this weblog. It has served me well for over five years now, and will remain open until the end of the summer, though no new posts will be made.
I've learned a lot from using it, thanks to the initial encouragement of my brother Evan who set it up and gave me access to web-hosting.
Thanks are due to him and to the many many people who look in to read my rants and ramblings.
My new on-line presence will be at Rachel's Place or attached to my domain name so have a look and let me know what you think! Comments as ever are very much appreciated!!

I'm almost ready to present my new on-line image. I've been working on a new integrated website and blog which will bring all the websites I have all over the net into one place. I'm using a mac to do it with iweb as my tool, and I have to say I'm very impressed with the way it's shaping up. But that's apple for you.....always the best one for a teacher!

At last after a rather miserable week-end, sunshine has arrived to greet the day. Hopefully it will remain with us, especially since we have Emma coming to stay for a few days. She's almost two now,so I expect she'll be into everything and investigating her surroundings at every opportunity.
We do expect her to be chatting quite a bit too, and if she's like her mummy, she'll be chatting fluently!
Dougal will enjoy her visit too, for as a walking talking little person, she'll be nearer his height level, where more than likely, a few morsels will find their way from her hand into his waiting mouth!
Her latest photo is on her grannie's blog.

Here I am tonight sitting in my tiny little front garden overlooking the loch and typing my blog for the day.
It's delightful to be outside as the sun dips in the sky after a glorious day. The birds are around, but not feeding, since there's a rather large human sitting too close to their feeders. I'll leave soon, so that they can continue their regular pattern uninterrupted.
As I was returning by bus then ferry along the Clyde coast, I was considering how lucky we are to live in this part of the world on a day like today. Sky, sea and coastline shimmered n appreciation of the delightful conditions, and we, the observers, could only look on in awe at the wonder of creation before us.
I was in Largs today to spent the day with my mum. She is looking well and is now recovered from the recent Irish Escapade we had with her sister and niece. Nothing daunted, she's heading south towards the end of June to be at her see grandson's graduation. Quite the traveller, but that's her style and long may she continue to get out and about as the spirit moves!!
A passing comment about politics........it's rotten to the core and we the public are now fully appraised of all that goes on and has gone on. There is a mighty change coming which can only benefit everyone interested in true democracy. Perhaps after more than a decade of lies cheating and spin, the REAL politicians with integrity and principles and genuine desires to make changes that will benefit our country and its people, will emerge from the ashes and make this once Great Britain great again. A tall order, but one that must be fulfilled, sooner rather than later.
I was sorry that David Dimbleby didn't accept the challenge to invite his Question Time audience to show their feelings about an immediate General Election. I expect he knew what the outcome would have been. It is time.Time for change. Time to give the people of this country their right to elect a government that must sweep out the dirt from shadowy corners and offer us an open window into the workings of a NEW parliament fit for the 21st century, which ultimately does what is should-serve the people who put it there!
